What personality type are you?
Have you ever wondered why you do certain things or act in a certain way? One way to make sense to these questions is to take a personality test.
I decided to take the test to help me understand who I am and why I do the things the way I do. I discovered that my personality type is ISFJ (Introverted, Sensing, Feeling, Judging) also known as ‘The Defender’.
Which made me think of Marvel, within The Avengers there are a number of personality types which make up the team and my type matches Captain America, which is great news as he is a favourite of mine.
Steve aka Captain America is an ISFJ he has a solid sense of duty towards his colleagues and is driven to protect the community and values he holds close to him, even if it means that he could die for these values. Personality traits of a Defender include being detail-oriented, generous hearted, hold old fashioned values and have an easy-going friendliness.
You will find that Defenders are fiercely loyal to their cause and their loved ones and skilled at noticing details and historical patterns. Thankfully all of these traits match my own personal beliefs and career choice, so I know the test works.
The ’16 Personalities’ test shows that as a Defender I am often meticulous to the point of perfectionism although I will procrastinate but I can then be relied upon to get the job done and on time.
A challenge is ensuring that what I do is noticed, we will often underplay our accomplishments and kindness is often respected but the more cynical and selfish people are likely to take advantage of defender’s dedication and humbleness by pushing work onto them and then taking the credit - https://www.16personalities.com/isfj-personality
Like everyone we have our weaknesses such as being humble and shy, take things too personally, repress our feelings, overload ourselves and something I can really relate to is the need to learn is to say no and stand up for ourselves.
If you want to find out who you are then follow the link to https://www.16personalities.comand take the test.
Out of interest other famous fictional and non-fictional defenders include Dr Watson, Catelyn Stark, Will Turner, Queen Elizabeth II, Beyoncé, Vin Diesel and Kate Middleton.
